Heat-Resistant Stainless Steel Pipes

Are the stainless steel pipes DIN-compliant?

Our stainless steel pipes are DIN-compliant and can therefore be integrated into existing piping systems without difficulty. We offer both seamless and welded stainless steel pipes.
All stainless steel pipes meet the highest quality requirements and are certified to EN 10204 and tested to common standards such as DIN/EN and ASME. Delivery includes the usual inspection certificates as standard. On request, we can also carry out individual tests to customer-specific requirements and document them at short notice.

Our pipes are available to the following standards, among others:

● 1.4835 (UNS S30815 / AISI 253 MA)
● 1.4841 seamless pipes to EN 10216-5, SEW 470, ASTM A 380
● 1.4845 seamless pipes to EN 10216-5, EN 10297-2, SEW 470, ASTM A 380 / ASME SA 312
● 1.4878 pipes to EN 10216-5, EN 10297-2, ASME SA 312

Material properties of heat-resistant stainless steel pipes

Heat resistance and service temperature

Heat-resistant stainless steel pipes are designed for continuous use at high temperatures. Depending on the material, the maximum service temperature is up to approx. 800–1,100 °C.

Oxidation resistance

The stainless steels used are characterised by high oxidation resistance and provide reliable protection against material loss even at high temperatures.

Mechanical properties

The pipes retain their stability even under thermal load:

● High tensile strength
● Good resistance to deformation (creep strength)

Thermal expansion

Thermal expansion must be taken into account during planning, especially for long pipelines and temperature cycling.

Thermal conductivity

The comparatively low thermal conductivity supports controlled heat management within the system.

Processing and fabrication

Weldability

The weldability of heat-resistant stainless steel pipes is very good. With suitable filler metals, durable and temperature-resistant joints can be produced.

h3.Machining

Machining requires adapted tools, but can be carried out reliably even with highly alloyed materials.

Heat treatment

Depending on the application, targeted heat treatment can be useful to optimise the material properties.

Corrosion-resistant pipes for demanding environments

In addition to temperature resistance, the pipes also offer high resistance to corrosive media. This makes them ideal as corrosion-resistant pipes for use in chemical and thermal processes.

Typical applications

Heat-resistant stainless steel pipes are used, among other things, in:

● Furnace and plant construction
● Energy and power plant technology
● Chemical and petrochemical industry
● Thermal process technology

Wherever heat-resistant stainless steel pipes have to perform reliably over the long term, they provide a safe solution.
